Rhinoplasty Sydney is one of the most common procedures both men and women undertake to correct breathing problems, repair a broken nose or reshape it to compliment the face. It is important that any rhinoplasty surgeon has a thorough understanding of facial anatomy to achieve a natural-looking result. Our surgeons have extensive training and experience in both open and closed rhinoplasty techniques and will discuss the best option for you.

Dr Damian Marucci will listen carefully to your goals and address any concerns you may have before recommending surgery. He will then develop a surgical plan to help you achieve your desired result. Your consultation will be held in a relaxed and informative environment to ensure you have a full understanding of the procedure and its potential outcomes.

Your rhinoplasty surgery will be performed under “General” anaesthetic at either Lakeview Private or Westmead Private Hospitals. It is normal to have a small amount of pain and swelling for the first few weeks, but this will gradually decrease. It can be minimised by applying a cold compress (eg a frozen bag of peas) and taking pain relief as directed.

Rhinoplasty Sydney: What to Expect Before, During, and After Surgery

A nasal splint will be placed after the operation, to keep the nose in its new shape. It is important to avoid putting any pressure on your nose until the splint has been removed at around 1 week. It is also a good idea to sleep with several pillows to support your head while you are sleeping.
